Why we bake with Ground Flax Seed vege hut bakery

Flax is grown on our Canadian Prairies. The seeds are oil rich – oil which contains 57% Omega 3. Omega 3 has been studied extensively and has been shown to reduce cholesterol levels, as well as offering a natural protection against such things as heart disease, stroke, hypertension and auto-immune disorders. Our flax bread was used as a study medium by the University of Toronto when the benefits of flax to our health were being examined.
